Fashion | Rainy Day Photo Shoot With Vibrant Leeds

I was recently introduced to Mike from Vibrant Leeds and his fantastic Instagram full of candid shots of people around Leeds. Impressed with his photography, I decided to drop him a message and see if he'd be up for doing some fashion shots of me for the blog.

Lucky for me Mike's a super nice guy and agreed to go for a shoot, even on a rainy Friday afternoon!

A Rainy Day Spring Look

So I don't know about anyone else, but I've already began updating my wardrobe to spring prints and colours, hoping that the sun and warm weather will start to rear it's lovely head soon!

For the outfit I decided to pull my favourite wardrobe trick of wearing a much loved dress underneath a skirt. It was a beautiful Reclaimed Vintage dress, which was just a tiny bit too short for the Friday afternoon day wear look. Obsessed with the print, I really wanted to wear it so opted to style it under a pink suede Missguided skirt.

I finished the look with a pastel blue Asos coat and somehow managed to find an umbrella which complimented the colours in the outfit perfectly. Who knew umbrellas could make such great accessories!

Vintage Shift Dress: £38.00 Reclaimed Vintage @ Asos | Pink Faux Suede Skirt: £20 Missguided |

Huge thanks to Mike for taking these shots with me and being such a lovely person to work with. You should definitely give him a follow on his Instagram here and you can also see his brilliant feature in Independent Leeds right here.

If you're into video/photography then you should also check out his workshops taking place at West Yorkshire Cameras in the Leeds Corn Exchange this March 31st & April 7th. The course is just £5 which gets you a roll of film, a camera for evening, developing some film and a couple of prints in the dark room. There's only 10 places per course so drop your £5 off at West Yorkshire Cameras to secure a place! I'll see you there - can't wait to learn some new tricks :)

See you soon!
