Fashion | Boots To Add To Your Autumn Wardrobe

Time To Ditch The Heels (sob!)

I was recently walking down the street playing avoid-the-puddle in my favourite stiletto heels, when I realised it was officially time. Time to give up the heels that I've been sporting over summer and invest in some much more practical shoe wear for the wet soggy Autumn days.

After a scour around the internet I picked 3 options which I think will serve me well throughout Autumn/Winter. Here's how I styled them:

Asos 70's Platform Ankle Boots

The first ones I found were these gorgeous black and brown heeled ankle boots from Asos. You don't have to give up he heeled look completely for Autumn - it's just about finding a comfy pair that can take on the crap weather. Because these are platform boots they not only lift you off the ground away from the puddles but they're also surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in! Success.

I think the two tone style of black and brown really sets off the outfit too, creating the 70s feel which I love. Shout out to Weird Ape for gifting me the pretty cool forest watch featured in the outfit too - I love quirkily pieces like that!

70's Long Line Blazer: £65 Topshop | Yellow Geo Print Skirt: £14.99 New Look | Platform Suede Ankle Boots: £60 Asos | Layered Necklace: £8.99 New Look | Brown Fringed Duffle Bag: £17.99 New Look | Watch: £25 Weird Ape

Public Desire Brown Ankle Boots

I think a simple pair of brown boots are essential for any Autumn wardrobe, as they're easy to style and work well with pretty much any outfit.

Priced at a reasonable £29.99, I decided these ones from Public Desire were the next to join my Autumn boot collection.

70's Longline Blazer: £65 Topsop | 70's Piped Floral Shirt: £42 Topshop | Red Skirt : £15 Boohoo |Brown Ankle Boots: £29.99 Public Desire |  Tan Belt: New Look

New Look Black Knee High Boots

I actually had a pair of black knee highs last year (see a post on how I styled them here) but they were in a bit of a sorry state when I pulled them out this Autumn - literally wore them to death!

I decided I had to re-invest in some more this year, but chose the cheaper New Look version (£44.99) rather than last years River Island ones (£70).

They're definitely my go-to boots when I want comfort on a bad weather day. I've styled them with a skater skirt and long sleeved top below, but they're also great styled with a comfy knit dress too - for the ultimate comfy/lazy Autumn look!

70's Print Skirt: Topshop (last year) | Grey Top: New Look | Tan & Cream Bag: £19.99 New Look | Layered Necklace: £8.99 New Look | Red Fedora Hat: £22 Topshop | Black Knee High Boots: £44.99 New Look |

Thanks for reading today's post - what are your go-to Autumn boots?

See you soon,

Gabby xo
