VMA Inspired Outfit Post Featuring Missy Empire

Hey Guys!

So after seeing all the fabulous red carpet outfits from the recent VMA awards I decided I would do my own little VMA inspired look, as well as picking some of my favourites outfits from the awards!

The dress I chose to show you tonight is a stunning black mesh maxi dress which I was lucky enough to receive from the lovely team over at Missy Empire! It's such a classy and beautiful piece, definitely award show worthy in my eyes! :)

Teamed with a killer pair of heels and a statement necklace I felt properly dressed up, and at only £21.99 it's an absolute steal! You can find the link for it here :)

I actually think I would be the most awkward person ever on the red carpet! I mean, I don't know about you guys but I get shy enough as it is posing in front of my boyfriend let alone a crowd of people! But I do love looking at all the ladies who are confident enough to walk the carpet and wow us with their outfits. Speaking of which - here's a few of my favourite outfits from the awards...

Beyonce looks so flawless (as always!) in this black maxi dress with the gorgeous lace detail by designer Nicolas Jebran!

I'm already a huge fan of Iggy Azalea and she absolutely rocked this silver Versace gown - man I wish I had her curves!!

And last but not least is my absolute fave from the awards, the STUNNING red silk Charmeuse dress worn by mega babe Rita Ora! She looks like she walked straight off of a bond film set - so amazing! And that diamond choker is just perfect!

And that's all for tonight! :)  Hope you liked the post and you should deffo check out Missy Empire for some gorgeous celeb inspired dresses!

Until next time!

River Island Yellow Heart Print Shirt - £25 / River Island Blue Box Pleat Mini Skirt - £25 / Newlook Black Heels - £19.99 / Asos Black quilted bag - £19.99

I love this bright yellow River Island shirt - you can't get cuter than heart prints right!? And when I found this pastel blue skirt shortly after browsing the shop I knew they would be a perfect match to create a cute office look! :)

Miss Selfridge Check Print Top - £16 / Miss Selfridge Check Print Pencil Skirt - £25 / Newlook Brown Wedge Heels - £19.99 /  Newlook Silver Statement Necklace - £7.99 / Primark Brown Bag - £8

WHAT A SURPRISE I'm wearing florals. Ha I can't help it I'm a little floral obsessed okay! So you can imagine my excitement when I found this jacket recently in Newlook having already purchased the skirt a while ago! It was meant to be!

And that's it for work looks this week! :) Hope everyone's had a great bank holiday weekend! We went to the new "Almost Famous" restaurant in Leeds which was just pure food heaven! I had the besttt burger which had fried macaroni cheese and doritos in it - so yum!! We also had lots of cocktails - my fave being the raspberry martini with white chocolate foam!  Here's a few snaps of some below :)

Thanks for reading & see you very soon! :)

I'm so Hedonia!

Hey guysss,

Can you tell I was listening to Iggy whilst writing this post? :P I recently received a beautiful shiny & very fancy new dress from the lovely people at Hedonia, and wanted to share how I styled it with you! :)

Hedonia Pink Lottie Dress* - Link Here

The dress is £65 to purchase and worth every penny in my opinion - the material is silky but also feels of a good quality - it's definitely the sort of thing that will last a long time and not get ruined after a couple of washes! (win!

The heels, clutch bag & mint jacket are all from Newlook and I kept the jewellery to a minimum  (since the dress is so detailed) by adding a simple peachy pearl bracelet from accessorize.

They have so many other lovely pieces on the website which I feel would be equally as perfect for a special occasion (i'm thinking my pink one would be ideal for a christening!).

Here's a few of my personal favourites below:

   From Left to right :

It's always good when you find a new company that specialises in clothing for those more formal occasions, and I'm sure I will be visiting their site in the near future - especially since I've been so impressed with the quality of the dress!

Hope you enjoyed reading and do let me know what your favourite dress from todays post was!

See you soon!

A Surprise Date Every Month for A year!

So the bf got serious man points on our anniversary recently when I opened my present to find the cutest thing he'd ever done for me! He'd basically organised a date for every month for a year until our next anniversary - and had put the dates in envelopes for me to open on the 1st of each month!!

Our first date was a summer picnic back in july to the Yorkshire dales which was lovely, and I was so excited when I opened the August envelope and it said we were going for a weekend away in the forrest! :)

I thought I'd share with you my outfits & some pics of what we got up to - hope you enjoy! :)

Dalby Forrest - Segways & Paintballing!

Primark Purple Bag - £8
Boohoo Brown Boots (from last year)

Exploring Malton & Eden Camp

Newlook Brown Shoes - £19.99
Primark Brown Bag - £5
Newlook Silver Statement Necklace - £7.99

And that's about it for now - thanks for stopping by! I'll leave you with a picture I took inside the Eden Camp war museum showing some fabulous 40's Fashion - I LOVE the middle outfit!

Until next time!

Work Wear Week 4!

Hey Guys,

So I started a brand new job last week (woohoo!) and so thought it would be appropriate to share another work wear themed outfit post! Here are a few of my favourite work looks from this last week:

Topshop Cut Out Back Dress

I just love the back detail on this dress!! The material is also really silky so it's a super comfy fit! Sadly although this was purchased recently I couldn't find it on the Topshop website to link it - but will keep checking for it!! Brown satchel is from accessorize & shoes are from Newlook (where most of my shoes are from!) :)

Newlook Grey & Black Detail Dress

Newlook Grey & Black Dress - £25 / Asos Black quilted bag - £19.99 / Newlook Black & White heels - £19.99

I had to buy this dress when I saw it as I thought the black embroidery detail was so pretty! But I struggled to find somewhere to wear it until I realised it could join the work wear wardrobe for a smart office look!

Skater Skirt & Pastel Shirt

Newlook Blue pastel Shirt - £12.99 / Topshop Daisy Skater Skirt - £12 / Newlook Brown Wedge Heels - £19.99 / Next Brown Satchel

I love this vintage style style skirt and it's actually now in the sale for just £12! (although I bought it for £22 boo!!) Such a bargain!

I'm going to try keep these work themed posts a weekly occurrence now. However, unlike before I'm just going to feature a few of my favourite outfits from the week rather than every single one (much to the appreciation of my bf aka photographer lol!!).

Hope you enjoyed them anyway and please do share with me your work wear ideas as i'm always looking for inspiration! :)

Until next time!
