Style for less with Miss Luxe!

Looking for a classy and formal look this spring but can't afford to spend a lot? Maybe you have a special birthday party coming up, a christening, or an engagement do? Whatever the occasion Miss Luxe has you covered with this gorgeous floral bodycon dress, priced at just £15.99! (Bargain!)

Here's how I styled the dress - I opted for some equally price friendly accessories to show you how you can get a lovely classy look without hurting your back account!

Shoes : £19.99 Newlook - Link here
Bag:  £8.99 Newlook - Link here
Dress* : £15.99  Miss Luxe - Link here
Necklace - £4.00 - Primark
Bracelets - £2.50 - Primark

I also added a pink coat to the look - I didn't have to buy it as it was already in my wardrobe from when I jumped on the pink coat band wagon (and so glad I did!) but it was still relatively cheap at only £54 from Newlook - which you can find here !

So, for the dress, the bag, the shoes and the jewellery you're looking at £51.50 - really not that bad for a full outfit! And if like me you still have that pink coat hanging proudly in your wardrobe then it's a perfect match :)

Hope you enjoyed reading - let me know if you can think of any cheaper alternatives to my accessories / coat. I really enjoyed doing this "style for less" post so have decided to keep this as a regular feature on my blog!

Have a lovely week, I'll be back again at the weekend!

Work to Night Out Look Featuring Red Label

Hey guys!

Tonights post features a lovely rose print body con dress* that I recently received from Red Label. I love it when I can get different looks out of the same item - so I wanted to show you how this versatile dress can be worn not only for a smart work look, but also for a night out!

The "Work" Look

For this look I added a brown belt to the dress, a black Newlook blazer, a smart oversized brown satchel from Accessorize, and a pair of smart black heels from H&M. Voila!

The "Night Out" Look

This look is pretty simple as I think the detail in the dress is enough so that you don't need lots of accessories. I wore it with one of my favourite pairs of Newlook heels and the bag that I've been wearing to death recently - the Asos black quilted heart bag!

And that's it! A really simple way of getting more than one look out of a dress! It's especially good if you've been invited out for drinks straight after work - you can just ditch the blazer, change shoes and your good to go!

Hope you enjoyed! You can find the link to the dress here, and i'll be posting all my work looks from this week on Sunday - so see you then! :)

4 Ways To Wear A Scrunchie

Hi Guys!

After receiving these super cute scrunchies* from Amelia Jane London I decided to
do a quick hairstyle themed post showing some different ways of wearing this 90s trend, which has thankfully made its way back to us!

1. The top bun

2. The simple ponytail

3.  The half up half down do

4. The side ponytail do

And that's it for tonight! If you have any other fun ways of wearing these let me know I'd love to try them, and if you need some more inspiration I found this video on Videojug very useful

I'll also be posting again later in the week with a "work wear" themed post and something else I've been working on!

Thanks for reading :)

Madam Rage Easter Outfit

Hellooooo and HAPPY EASTER!

Hope everyone's had plenty of chocolate and other goodies! I did an easter egg hunt with my little sisters yesterday (CHOCOLATE CHAOS!) and then headed up to the coast to stay with my boyfriends parents, so thought I'd share with you a few snaps of my easter outfit (and their lovely garden!).

I was recently given the opportunity to pick out a dress as a gift from "Madam Rage". After much deliberation I narrowed it down to 3, and then waited for the chosen one to arrive!

And here it is!!:

What says spring more than florals really? What with all the flowers popping up everywhere,  I thought this was the perfect eastery outfit! :) I teamed it with a Next brown satchel and some brown Newlook wedges - which are my new favourite shoes as they just seem to go with everything! I was gutted when i first picked them up as they said wide fit...but I think the straps stop me from sliding around in them. That or I secretly have fat feet!

Anyway, if you're looking for some spring outfit inspiration then you really have to look no further than Madam Rage! Their cute dresses are perfect for all your lovely spring outings! Some other dresses on their site that I also love are:

And you can also find the link to the dress I'm wearing here. It's 30% off at the moment for easter so why not treat yourself! :)

So my spending limit is going quite well! I've been finding so many clothes I'd forgotten all about, because I'd usually just be buying more and more! It's forced me to make more use out of my wardrobe and tbh I think it's improving my style as i've been a bit more daring about mixing prints and trying out new styles!

That said, I definitely can't wait till May! Work's just so much better when you're getting parcels delivered daily! But I certainly will be appreciating my clothes a lot more from now on!

Here are a couple of things I have bought this month within the budget! :

Pastel blue shirt from Newlook £12.99
£10 skirt from Newlook - adorable elephant print and did I mention only 10 POUNDS!!
White Satchel from Newlook - Another bargain only £6 pound!
And finally my favourite shoes of the moment from Newlook £19.99

Bringing me to a total spending of £55 (including a primark cardi I got) ...leaving me with £25 for the rest of the month! Okkk so maybe i'm not doing that well haha, but hey I've not gone over yet and I've only got another week and a bit left to stick it out!

And have a lovely rest of the bank holiday :)

How To Style A Gold Statement Necklace

Hope you've had a great weekend so far (it's still not quite over yet woo!). Today I thought I'd share with you 4 different ways to style a statement gold necklace.

I was recently browsing on Instagram and I came across "Trinket Avenue's" page. I was loving all their statement necklaces and after liking a couple of them, they contacted me and asked if they could send me one as a gift! Obviously I was like YESSS PLEAAASE, and that's how I ended up with this little beauty!

So here are the 4 different ways I've styled it already:

1. The "Dinner date" look

If there's ever a way to spice up a plain white shirt it's with this necklace! I think it goes perfectly with this gold skirt from Topshop, some black Newlook heels, and my favourite bag of the moment from Asos!

2. The "spring picnic" look

I think it goes very well with this floral playsuit from Newlook! With a brown belt & bag from Primark, and some strappy Newlook wedges it's perfect for a spring picnic kinda day!

3. The "work wear" look

You can also incorporate this piece into your work wardrobe! I think it looks great with a smart dress and jacket, and still shows up well over dark prints. Teamed with a quilted bag from Asos and some black heels from Newlook.

4. The "Casual weekend" look

It even works well in this casual look, with my favourite pair of Topshop joni jeans and a cropped Newlook top! Hurray!

It's definitely going to be my "go to" necklace this spring, and I'm sooo glad they sent me it as it coincides nicely with my shopping spending ban - which has been going really well surprisingly! I've only spent £6 this week on a pastel cardigan from Primark yey! Now just £74 left for the month...wish me luck!!

Thanks for reading, and you can find the link for this lovely necklace here.

Have a lovely week!
